Maria Susana Rivadeneira

Born in Quito, September 8, 1979, her parents Pablo, an architect, and Susana, an interior designer, the sixth among 11 siblings, began Visual Arts after leaving the Faculty of Architecture, since what she is passionate about is art, painting and sculpture.
She held her first collective exhibition in the city of Quito in 2001, and immediately went abroad to begin her career as a model, at the Wilhelmina agency in Miami where she did covers and fashion editorials for important magazines such as Cosmopolitan, Vanidades, Ocean Drive, Naples, among others. Soon she travels to Italy to work at the Eye for I agency in Milan, where she campaigns for some European fashion brands.

In 2003 she held her first individual painting exhibition at the Municipal Museum of the City of Guayaquil, where her theme was women, "Among them and other stories" the artist shows the reality of different working women, their sufferings and His achievements.

In 2004 she participated in the Miss Ecuador, being elected and thus represents her country in the Miss Universe, a contest that was held that year in Quito, having the responsibility of hosting more than 89 representatives from different countries. remaining finalist of the contest occupying the 6th place.

It is from this experience that María Susana discovers an important service vocation, working in support campaigns for different causes, specifically the reintegration of working children into education, from the Proniño Foundation and then at the Fundación Acción Solidaria where she would work campaigns social and fundraising projects for 8 years, such as the Expo Mamá Baby, a fair that he directs for the 10th consecutive year, where the promotion of life and family is sought through training and practical workshops.

Pro-Life activist, in 2009 he began to get involved in connection with the Expo Mom Baby and the Tunnel of Life, an installation that recounts the beginning of life from conception, on issues related to the defense of life and is linked to Options Heroicas is a non-profit organization, founded in the United States from where projects are developed and through this organization attends several international conferences to train on the subject.

In 2013, she was part of the organization that carried out the ProVida World Congress that met in the city of Guayaquil in 2013.
In September 2014, again at the Municipal Museum of Guayaquil, he held the pictorial exhibition "Let the greats look at Heaven" where the artist seeks to highlight that condition of children that we all have, letting us marvel at simple things, this work was composed by 25 works between pictorial and sculpture and audiovisual interventions.

After almost 10 years of helping different social causes, this year 2016 Maria Susana with the support of a group of businessmen, friends and with the support of the Catholic Church, a project was implemented to assist homeless people (homeless ) in the city of Guayaquil, RESA (Refugio del Espíritu Santo) is a project that seeks to align with 2 of the SDGs, UN Development Goals, eradicate extreme poverty and end hunger, ensuring access to healthy food, nutritious and efficient.

She is Creative Director of Designer Book, a platform that develops the sustainable design and fashion industry in the country, for the 11th consecutive year this project was carried out that empowers designers, photographers, supply companies, artisans, and all the characters involved in Fashion and design from a clear perspective of sustainability and respect in its processes. Designer book is a pioneer in speaking in the country of responsible design, which is known in world trends such as Slow Fashion

Creator of the Muyui, Las Tres Marias, Despierta and Susana Simball brands with which she develops products made with recycled material or linked to fair trade and training of artisans and single mothers.
Creative Director of Espacio Vintage and Taller Muyui, an office of social architecture and art, where projects are developed to intervene residual spaces, involving the community in the processes and reusing waste, as an example the First Kinetic Mural with 235 thousand bottle caps that It was located for 9 years at the entrance to La Puntilla, on the Samborondon road.
She currently resides in Cuenca and is the executive director of the Food Bank of the archdiocese of this city and of the Baby Bank, a project that serves pregnant women and their babies in their first thousand days of life.
